Here’s a Hilo wedding I photographed last year, before I launched this blog. I still enjoy looking at these photos, and the memory of creating them with Susan & Chris makes me smile. 🙂 The morning began with wonderment… A beautiful ceremony…It was spectacular at Onekahakaha Beach Park, with a mist hanging in the air…
Tia & Stephen are perfect together. They have a way about them that makes it seem like they fell in love 2 seconds ago, yet they have the maturity of a couple who has been married for decades. They’re creative, vibrant and fun… and their wedding in Kohala was beautiful. Days are seldom better than…

Susan & Chris - Jim,
Thank you so much for capturing our special day in such an incredible way! It’s a neat feeling to know that you too look back on our wedding day and smile. Every time we look at our wedding day photos we are instantly transported back to that morning in Hilo. And I often find myself wiping a tear out of the corner of my eye. It was such a beautiful morning – such a beautiful place to be married – and you captured all of our special moments from the day in just the perfect way! We both felt an instant comfort with you – as if we had been long time friends. We are so glad that you were a part of our wedding day! Can’t wait to see more of your pictures from the Phillipines and hear about that monkey!
